The Sunshine Rockers is the Dance Club run by John and Robyn O’Connor. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, hence the name, John and Robyn now run classes on Rock ‘N Roll and Swing ever Tuesday night at the Oxley Bowls Club. Dance Experience have a dance class every Tuesday night at their Nundah Dance Studio. The class starts at 8.00 pm and continues on to 10.00 pm. The Studio is situated at the Nundah Memorial Hall which is on the corner of Boyd and Bage Streets at Nundah. The dances taught on Tuesday nights include: Old Favourites, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Merengue, Latin Favourites, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive Rumba Salsa and many more! Cost is $10. John Munro, his partner and many of his dance class students are regular Aussie Dances attendees. John runs the Johnny Rockers Swing with Sting dance school. Classes are conducted on Tuesday nights for Swing Jive and Rock ‘N Roll. Classes are from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm. John is a qualified Australian Rock ‘n Roll Council Instructor and can be contacted on 0407 456 044. The class is held at Carina Bowls Club situated at 401 Stanley Street, Carina. The Australian Rock ‘N Roll Council is a member of DanceSport and the World Rock ‘N Roll Association. |

Melanie and Glen run Crazy Feet Dance Studio which is located at the Balmoral Bowls Club, in Jean Howie Drive at Morningside. Every Tuesday Melanie and Glen teach 4 step Rock ‘N Roll plus triples. The class start at 7.00 pm. Beginners and Singles are welcome. Contact Glen on 0411 332 056. |
