Joanne Buric, the Proprietor of IndepenDance, has been training competitive dancers for the past 19years. Having completed her dance education in London, Joanne trained some of the world’s elite competitive couples, many still competing on the international circuit. The highest placed Australian couple currently residing in London are Joanne‘s former students. A number of Joannes other students have been cast in dance productions such as, “Tempo Rouge”, “Burn the Floor” as well as the hit TV shows “Dancing with the Stars” and “So you thing you can Dance”. In 1993 Joanne relocated from London to Australia to continue work in her homeland. After having nurtured Australian talent in Melbourne for 7 years, Joanne now permanently resides in Brisbane where her own career began at the tender age of 11. This move has fulfilled Joanne’s lifelong dream of passing on her knowledge and passion for dance to Queensland‘s students. IndepenDance offers the best in dance tuition, across a range of styles and levels of learning. We cater for all - children, adults, individuals, wedding groups, for those with social or competitive interests in Modern, Latin American and New Vogue. With our highly accomplished team of instructors you cannot put a foot wrong. Joanne continues to coach some of Australia’s finest dancers and now is teacher to the dancers on the hit TV show “Dancing with the Stars” working with LeeAnne Bampton Eliza Campangna, Alana Patience. Natalie Lowe, Trent Whiddon, Sarah West, Patrice Smith, Salvatore Vecchio, Michael Miziner, Chris Ryan, Arik Yuggukin, Michael Wojeck, Marsha Belesh, Katrina Schembri, Andrew Palmer and Abbey Ross.
