Take a step back to a simpler time when the local dance was the place to be. Aussie Dances is keeping that great social get together “The Dance” alive and well with dances every week, on Friday and/or Saturday nights. Do you remember the days when on a Saturday afternoon, you would discuss with your friends whether you would go to the “pictures” or to the “dance” that night? Do you have fond memories of the balls and dances you attended up at Cloudland and other great dance venues which were scattered around Brisbane? Well, we have exciting news for those in Brisbane who love to dance, or enjoy the atmosphere of a “dance” with live music to socialise or just enjoy the entertainment. Aussie Dances provides regular weekly dances in Brisbane with LIVE music on Friday and Saturday nights. The current dance program is on the 2008 Dances page of this web site. People dance for many different reasons. We dance because we find it enjoyable and a great way to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. Also dancing is the best way for us to try to get and stay in reasonable physical shape. Ian, as a former Exercise Physiologist would always advise clients that they should find a regular exercise regime that was enjoyable, otherwise they would not be likely to continue with it. There is not any better, whole of life, aerobic exercise regime more enjoyable than dancing. Some people were getting a bit tired of the same old recorded music, at the same old venue, delivered in the same old way ..., so we did something about it, for us and for you as well. Aussie Dances are not just for dancers, although all dancers are welcome regardless of ability. They are for those who like listening to live music, and those who like to socialise or just have fun. Whether you are 18 or over 80, in a relationship or single, male or female, coming with a group of people or on your own, we will work towards making your Aussie Dances experience one that you will want to experience over and over, on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to 11.30pm. Aussie Dances at a cost of $10 per night payable at the door for our Friday dances or $12 for our Saturday night dances, are great fun, great exercise, and great affordable entertainment. |
